Project Overview
WisdomPsych.com is a psychology-based well-being platform run by Arvin Paul, offering a seven-week psychological self-awareness course alongside free live community events. The engagement with this client spanned multiple phases from February 2025 through November 2025 — covering everything from an emergency landing page build, to full payment and LMS repair, security hardening, server migration, and ultimately a complete site redesign. What began as a broken, underperforming website was transformed into a fully functional, high-converting, and independently manageable platform.
Business Goals / Objectives
The client’s primary goals evolved across each project phase. Initially, the most urgent need was a conversion-focused landing page to drive course sign-ups for the seven-week self-awareness programme. Subsequently, the goals shifted toward fixing a fundamentally broken registration and payment flow left by previous developers. Later phases focused on business self-sufficiency (reducing developer dependency), site security, server performance, and finally a full brand-aligned redesign to better reflect the client’s psychology-focused identity and improve lead conversion.
System Architecture
The platform is built on WordPress with Tutor LMS as the learning management system, Elementor Pro as the page builder, WooCommerce handling payments, and Stripe as the payment gateway. The site uses Custom Post Types — most notably a fully custom Events CPT with automated past/upcoming event sorting logic. In addition, a custom Upcoming Courses CPT was developed to manage future course offerings, where each course entry includes its own dedicated registration form for user sign-ups. The system also supports multiple service-based page templates for clinical and coaching offerings. The site is hosted on Hostinger following a full migration from HostGator, with the domain also transferred to Hostinger for unified management. Security is managed through Wordfence with two-factor authentication enabled.

Custom Development Layer
The most technically demanding component was the custom Events CPT, built to allow the client to publish upcoming events with date, time, and location metadata. A custom PHP query and conditional logic automatically reclassifies events as “past” once their date has passed — removing the need for manual intervention. This was paired with a redesigned Free Live Events page that dynamically renders both upcoming and past events in separate sections. A separate Upcoming Courses CPT was also implemented, enabling structured creation of future courses with embedded registration forms directly on each course page. Similar per-event registration functionality was implemented on individual event pages, allowing users to submit sign-ups directly from each listing. Additional work included the development of multiple service-based page templates (including optimal relating groups, consultation and coaching, and practice groups), each designed with integrated contact and conversion forms to support client acquisition. Additional custom code snippets were written to patch broken registration logic from the previous development team and to streamline the Tutor LMS enrolment-to-payment pipeline.
Performance & Optimization
The site was migrated from HostGator — where poor server infrastructure caused slow load times and instability — to Hostinger. The domain was simultaneously transferred to consolidate DNS management. Post-migration, server-level caching, and plugin-level optimisations were applied to significantly improve page load speed. The redesign phase also included image optimisation and elimination of redundant plugins left over from previous development work.
Outcome
Over the course of approximately nine months and five distinct project phases, WisdomPsych.com was transformed from a broken, developer-dependent, slow-loading site into a polished, secure, and self-sufficient platform. The client now manages their own content updates independently. The redesigned site better reflects their psychology practice, drives more course sign-ups, and supports both live events, upcoming course enrolments, and service-based client acquisition through structured conversion-focused pages — all running on a stable, secure, and fast hosting environment.
